Dr.-Ing. Arnold Tolle studied fundamentals of mechanical engineering at the RWTH technical high school of Aachen. His thesis at the university of Essen deals on heat pumps.

He is founding member and speaker of the German section of the European Business Council for a Sustainable Energy Future. As vice president of VDEM Verband Deutscher Energie Manager he is responsible for the section energy technology and environment. Being member of the steering committee of the consultancy initiative initiated by the German industrial association VIK Verband der Industriellen Energie- und Kraftwirtschaft e.V. to reduce CO2 emissions he has moderated or spoken at many specific workshops.
